Funkmaster Flex Parties Are Legendary

Forget the light show, chandeliers, disco balls and the big movie screens showing awesome graphics that are in tune with a pre-programed set. Just play the fucking music! That’s what makes

Funkmaster Flex so special and why rappers, movie stars and everyone who loves to party want to be at his events. This is seen as rappers Chinx, Maino and Troy Ave are popping bottles and having a good ol’ time at WIP in NYC.

Radio host, club DJ, TV host and entrepreneur, Funkmaster Flex does it all. But what makes him so special in the clubs is his ability to create the mood with nothing more than his turntables and the music he plays. Flex is a legend for making the most thuggish hustlers and prissiest fashion models sway in sync with the hardcore bass of a hip-hop tempo.

But for those who remember — nothing beats the experience of Sunday night parties at The Tunnel, a factory building turned night club. 90’s hip-hop era were strongly dominating the radio airwaves. Conscious, gangster rap and R&B songs were giving the middle finger to pop songs by dominating the Billboard charts. Flex became legendary with his parties when he packed the incredibly spacious club with party goers. Fortunately, Flex continues his legendary events all over NYC.

If he is not the most respected hip-hop DJ in the industry, then I don’t know who is. Late 2013, Funkmaster Flex was the first and only hip-hop DJ to be inducted into New York State Broadcaster Association’s Hall of Fame for his long and successful tenure at Hot 97. Check the video below and Google all of those legendary DJ names congratulating Flex.
